SAFETY

We take it seriously

New Day Child Care Safety

At New Day Child Care Center, we care about the safety and welfare of the children entrusted to us. We understand how important it is as parents to be able to drop your child off at a daycare and walk away knowing your little one will be safe while you are away. With that in mind, we take the following percautions to give our parents peace of mind while they are entrusting their children to us: We have secured entrances, video monitoring and state of the art fire/sprinkler systems that are all monitored throughout the day and night.

Secured Entrances/Exits

The childcare entrance is locked throughout the day with only a select individuals granted access. In addition the entrance and exit is monitored by a security camera with recordings and live view security monitoring.

When the weather is nice, our fenced outdoor space will provide your child the opportunity to enjoy nature and get some Vitamin D while staying in a safe area all at the same time!

Fire Technology

Our building is equipped with a new state-of-the-art sprinkler and alarm system for our entire childcare area. Our building has passed all necessary fire codes from state and local levels and in the unlikely event of a fire, Bettendorf Fire Station (Spruce Hills location) is less than 60 seconds up the road.

Video Monitoring

The halls and childcare rooms all have full-service monitoring and video surveillance with our new, advanced camera system. Our system has full recordings in tandem with a live view stream that allows us to ensure that children are receiving the best care.

Evacuation and Shelter

We have planned and rehearsed evacuation and shelter-in-place procedures that will be implemented should the need arise.

“If children feel safe, they can take risks, ask questions, make mistakes, learn to trust, share their feelings, and grow.”

Emergency Closings

In the event of an emergency closing announcements will be made on our Facebook Page, website, and local news stations!
